A global organisation with a rapidly expanding
Dublin-based Azure Centre of Excellence
is undertaking a major multi-year cloud transformation. With significant investment planned through 2026, the company is moving from legacy on-premise systems to a fully modern, Azure-native ecosystem.
To support this journey, the business is hiring a
Lead Enterprise Architect
who will shape the future-state architecture, design cloud standards, and play a pivotal role in guiding technical decisions across the organisation.
Joining at an early and influential stage, you will have the autonomy to define architectural strategy, establish governance frameworks, and embed best practice across multiple agile delivery streams. As the CoE continues to scale, there will also be a
future opportunity to build and lead an architecture team
, making this an ideal role for someone who wants to combine deep technical impact with long-term leadership progression.
What You'll Be Doing
* Define and drive enterprise-level architecture across applications, data, cloud, and infrastructure—ensuring alignment, scalability, and strategic coherence.
* Partner with multiple agile teams to ensure cloud-native engineering practices and Azure architectural principles are understood, adopted, and consistently applied.
* Lead the organisation's large-scale migration from legacy systems to Azure, shaping secure, high-performing, and resilient cloud solutions.
What We're Looking For
* 10+ years of experience as an Enterprise or Lead Architect within complex, fast-paced environments.
* Expertise in Microsoft Azure and cloud-native services, with experience designing and delivering modern cloud applications.
* Proven background leading cloud transformations, including on-prem to Azure migrations at an Enterprise level.
* Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and modern engineering practices.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
* Experience building or maturing architectural governance functions, frameworks, or Centres of Excellence.
* Ambition to contribute to the future growth of the Azure architecture team.
Key Requirements
