This is a private mandate for a firm that supports major hospital groups and private clinics with high-spec theatre and diagnostic infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities Technical Service & Repair: Perform precision diagnostics and repairs on high-definition surgical imaging systems, clinical lasers, and thermal management platforms within a high-spec workshop environment.
Field Operations: Lead on-site installation, commissioning, and technical validation of new medical technologies across hospital theatres and diagnostic suites.
Clinical Support: Provide expert technical briefings and "first-line" troubleshooting guidance to hospital biomedical departments and surgical teams.
Compliance & Calibration: Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PPM) and safety testing (Electrical Safety Checks) to ensure 100% adherence to ISO 13485 and healthcare standards.
Documentation: Maintain meticulous service records, calibration logs, and technical reports to meet rigorous regulatory requirements.
Candidate Profile Education: Degree or Diploma in Electronic, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience Levels: Early Career: We welcome applications from motivated graduates with a strong "hands-on" technical aptitude and a desire to undergo specialist manufacturer training.
Senior Level: Applicants with 5+ years in medical devices or high-tech electromechanical systems will be considered for senior technical lead responsibilities.
Aptitude: A methodical problem-solver with a meticulous eye for detail and the professional empathy required to work in active clinical settings.
Logistics: Full, clean Irish driving licence.
Must be comfortable with regional travel and occasional on-call requirements.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: €40,000 €50,000 per annum (Negotiable based on technical specialism and depth of experience).
