Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple properties across Ireland and the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage operations, people, and processes efficiently.
This is a pivotal role, reporting directly to the COO and Assistant Group General Manager, with responsibility for supporting and driving performance across our group portfolio.
Objectives of the Role
* Develop strategic plans to drive productivity, efficiency, and excellence across the group.
* Improve operational effectiveness by refining processes, guiding property managers, and cultivating a high-performance culture.
* Maintain company standards and ensure consistent delivery of service excellence across all sites.
* Identify and pursue growth opportunities through strategic partnerships and business development.
* Support the professional growth of team members through structured feedback and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day operations across all group properties, ensuring alignment with company goals.
* Assign weekly performance goals, monitor progress, and deliver on strategic targets.
* Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and development of Managers and Supervisors.
* Travel regularly to group locations to support site teams (75% travel; overnight stays required).
* Maintain and track project timelines to ensure efficient execution of initiatives.
* Manage and implement budget and resource allocation plans in collaboration with senior leadership.
* Delegate responsibilities effectively, upholding company policies, training programs, and cultural standards.
* Oversee external and Government contracts held by the group.
* Attend weekly management meetings at Head Office to report on progress and align on objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in a senior managerial or operational role within the hospitality industry (hotel experience preferred).
* Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation capabilities.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and manage financial plans and operational budgets.
* Experience with performance management and conducting staff evaluations.
* Knowledge of human resources processes and procedures.
* High level of flexibility and willingness to travel extensively.
* Full B Driver's Licence is essential.
