Ohshima Ireland LTDis currently seeking a skilled 5-Axis CNC Machinist to join our team based in our facility in Shannon, Co. You will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture high-precision components.Job DescriptionDevelop and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.Set up and adjust CNC machines, including tool selection and fixture setup.Interpret and work from technical drawings, models, and specifications.Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to ensure components meet required tolerances.Troubleshoot machine and programming issues to improve efficiency and accuracy.Ensure compliance with company quality standards and health & safety regulations.Maintain accurate documentation of programs, machine settings, and modifications.Work collaboratively with engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel.Provide training and mentorship to junior machinists and operators on CNC programming, machine setup, and best practices.Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshootingEnsure compliance with ISO/AS9100/Other Quality StandardsWork to tight tolerances and ensure the quality of output by inspecting your own work.Required Skills & Qualifications:3 years of experience in 5-axis CNC machining preferableStrong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC programmingExperience with Mazak, DMG Mori, Chiron machines desired but not essentialFamiliarity with Hypermill Software desired but not essentialFamiliarity with Heidenheim controllers desired but not essentialAbility to inspect parts using callipers, micrometres, and CMMsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamTraining will be provided in areas where skills and knowledges gaps are identified.*Please note that this role requires candidates to be currently residing in Ireland with a valid work permit.
