Job Title: Duty Manager
The Role: As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing sales opportunities and ensuring that all areas within the property are running smoothly. The presentation, cleanliness, and security of the property should be to the highest standards at all times.
Reporting to: You will report directly to the F&B Operations Manager and General Manager.
Hotel Overview
The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa is a four-star hotel located in County Galway. It boasts 91 guest bedrooms, an excellent Bar and Restaurant, a luxurious Shore Island Spa, and a magnificent Roof Top Garden with its own cocktail bar overlooking Loughrea Lake and the Galway countryside.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure that you receive a handover briefing at the beginning of your shift to ensure that you are aware of any events or special requirements.
2. Maintain a visible presence in the Front of House areas and be the primary point of contact for all customers.
3. Carry out a check on each department so that they are aware that you are the Manager on Duty.
4. Ensure that staffing is adequate in all areas.
5. Deal with all VIP customers and make sure that their rooms are checked and that they have all the requirements requested.
6. Ensure that liquor licensing legislation are followed according to Company policy and procedures.
7. Carry out security / fire walk and complete relevant records as required.
8. Act as Fire Marshall while on duty and be thoroughly familiar with emergency procedures and alarms.
9. Ensure that all checklists and reports are completed by the relevant person before the end of the shift.
10. Ensure that you complete a handover to the next Manager at the end of your shift to ensure awareness of any issues overnight that need to be followed up.
