Company Intro / Summary A specialist mechanical contractor is seeking a Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team in Dublin. With steady growth and a strong pipeline of work across Ireland and mainland Europe, this company delivers complex fire suppression solutions, including large-scale sprinkler systems, for high-profile commercial and industrial clients. This is a great opportunity to take on a commercially focused role within a niche and fast-evolving area of building services. Responsibilities Manage all pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties for mechanical/fire protection projects. Prepare detailed cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation. Conduct procurement processes and evaluate subcontractor and supplier packages. Oversee contract administration, valuations, variations, and final accounts. Ensure accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Liaise with design, site, and commercial teams to ensure project delivery aligns with budget and timelines. Provide commercial leadership across multiple domestic and European projects. Mentor junior QS team members and promote best practices. Requirements Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum of 7 years experience in a mechanical or building services QS role. Experience in fire protection or sprinkler systems would be highly regarded. Strong knowledge of contracts, procurement processes, and cost control methodologies. Proven ability to manage complex projects independently. Excellent negotiation, communication, and reporting skills. Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs in mainland Europe.
