The Opportunity
We're looking for a motivated and technically-minded individual to join our growing team as a Technical Sales Executive. This is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the ever-evolving world of LED lighting and display technology, gain in-depth knowledge, and develop sales within the North of Ireland region. You'll be instrumental in expanding our market presence and nurturing existing customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Sales Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the North of Ireland, focusing on Signage Manufacturers, Shop Fitters, and other relevant sectors.
* Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with Lightsign's existing loyal customer base, ensuring their continued satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
* Technical Consultation: Provide expert technical advice and solutions to customers on LED lighting and digital signage products, ensuring the best recommendations for cost-efficiency, reliability, and project requirements.
* Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Lightsign's product portfolio, staying current with the latest advancements and trends in LED lighting and display technology.
* Pre-Sales Support: Conduct detailed pre-sales consultations, understanding customer needs and translating them into effective product specifications and proposals.
* After-Sales Service: Work closely with the support team to ensure excellent after-sales service, addressing any technical queries or issues promptly and efficiently.
* Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and inform sales strategies.
* Reporting: Regularly report on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts to the management team.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
* Proven experience in a sales or technical sales role, ideally within the electrical, lighting, or digital signage industries.
* Crucially, a background within the signage industry is highly desirable, with existing knowledge of signage companies in Northern Ireland.
* Familiarity with the fabrication and structure of signs is a significant advantage.
* Proficiency in using quotation systems is essential.
* A strong ability to learn new technical products and systems quickly.
* A keen interest in technical products, particularly in lighting and digital signage technologies.
* A strong technical aptitude.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
* A proactive and results-oriented approach, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a sales territory effectively.
* A customer-centric mindset, with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Full clean driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the North of Ireland.
