Description
HR Path/Eaton Square Talent Management have partnered with a client in the Education sector.
The ideal candidate will have the right mix of qualifications, experience, and skills, and must meet all essential criteria.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Chief Human Resources Officer has responsibility for the strategic leadership, line management and delivery of the Human Resources and related functions
Key Responsibilities
Governance
Advise senior leadership on legal, regulatory, and HR matters.
Report on HR performance, strategy, and key plans.
Ensure all HR activities follow University policies and regulations.
Leadership
Contribute to overall strategy and decision making.
Lead or support key initiatives, using data to improve performance.
Represent on committees and externally.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and manage relationships with key external bodies and partners.
Represent in sector groups and with government agencies.
Human Resources
Lead and develop the HR function and strategy.
Manage and support HR teams to deliver results.
Build strong relationships.
Lead industrial relations and ensure compliance with policies.
Manage HR budgets and staff performance.
Operations
Oversee planning, budgets, and resource allocation.
Improve systems, processes, and service delivery.
Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing standards are met.
Develop and review policies and service agreements.
Promote collaboration, efficiency, and best practice.
General
Carry out additional duties as required by senior leadership.
Delegate tasks as needed while retaining overall accountability.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Candidates must meet all of the following
A Level 8 degree (or equivalent).
At least 5 years' senior management experience in Human Resources (or a similar role) in a large, complex organisation.
At least 5 years' experience in strategic leadership, planning, and governance in a relevant function.
Strong strategic planning and organisational skills, with the ability to turn organisational goals into team plans.
Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams, especially during periods of change.
Experience using data to improve services for a wide range of stakeholders.
Knowledge of HR information systems and data-driven HR practices.
Experience promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion (including gender equality).
The following are advantageous
A Level 9 (or higher) qualification.
MCIPD or FCIPD accreditation.
Experience in the Irish public sector.
Experience leading HR transformation projects.
Experience managing complex industrial relations negotiations.
Experience working within an HR Business Partnering model.
Experience developing workforce planning strategies.
Experience creating and implementing talent acquisition strategies.
