#SETUW The Web Development Officer (Specialist Post) will be part of the cross-campus Web Development team which has responsibility for the University's web presence across many different sites and projects.
These include: Responsible for the ongoing development and updating of the SETU website to ensure content accuracy, technical functionality, and visual consistency.
Maintain and update all SETU programme information across relevant platforms to reflect current academic offerings.
Liaising with user groups within the University, including academic faculties and professional support functions, to improve their web presence; provide staff training in skills required for website updating; and to promote best practice in web publishing across all SETU sites.
Auditing users' updates to the website to ensure a high standard of content structure across websites.
Utilise tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console to monitor website performance, identify issues, and implement improvements that enhance the user experience.
Development and management of related micro sites using WordPress CMS.
Serve as the first point of contact for website-related queries and technical issues, offering timely resolution or escalation as appropriate.
Prepare and submit requisitions to ensure timely procurement of goods and services in line with organisational needs.
Undertake such other related duties as may be assigned.
