This role plays an important part in ensuring products meet the highest food safety, compliance, and customer standards.What we offer:Role type: Fixed Term ContractLocation: Co. MeathWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (One Saturday a month with time off in lieu)Salary: €35'000- €40'000 DOEKey Responsibilities:Quality & Safety : Support the implementation and maintenance of HACCP, food safety systems, SOPs, risk assessments, and quality management documentation.Specifications : Maintain up-to-date raw material and finished product specifications, ensuring accuracy and accessibility on customer portals.Supplier & Customer Relations : Communicate with suppliers regarding defects, log and monitor customer complaints, and support investigations into non-conformances including root cause analysis. Assist in supplier approvals for raw materials, packaging, and services.Sampling & Testing : Carry out microbiological and chemical sampling of raw materials and finished products in line with the sampling schedule. Perform traceability and mass balance exercises.Documentation & Audits : Maintain accurate quality and traceability records, ensure compliance with external standards (e.g., Bord Bia, BRCGS), and participate in internal, external, and customer audits, including GMP checks.Stock & Waste Control : Monitor stock rotation (FIFO), reduce waste, and ensure compliance with procedures.Health & Safety : Conduct regular site hygiene and health & safety inspections, report findings, and follow up on corrective actions.About You:A third-level qualification in food science, quality management, or a related discipline.Previous experience in a technical or quality role within the food manufacturing industry.Strong understanding of HACCP, BRCGS, food safety legislation, and customer specifications.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong IT skills, with excellent attention to detail and organisation.Strong communicator, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a busy team.Make a significant impact and apply today
