Vertiv in Letterkenny, Ireland is dedicated to the design, build and distribution of Modular Datacentre modules.
We are complemented by our factories in Burnfoot and Derry who supply switchgear/busbar directly.
We manufacture complete distribution systems, including MV and LV switchgear, busbar trunking, energy management systems and modular power solutions.
All manufacturing processes are carried out in-house, including sheet metal fabrication, paintwork, punching, pressing and bending copper & aluminium.

You will work closely with a talented team of Mechanical, CSA and Thermal engineers.
Investment in a state-of-the-art tin-plating and silver-plating plant has taken Vertiv's engineering offering to the next level and we are now hiring a Senior project electrical design engineer to join the team.
What you'll do?
As a team player, your responsibilities include: Designing and developing modular buildings for customized solutions in accordance with highest standards and demanding requests.
Electrical design on projects (Electrical, Fire Alarm and Controls systems) during factory integration in Letterkenny Integration with other disciplines; architectural, structural, mechanical.
Focus on general design, concepts, calculation, etc.
Cooperation with the design team in the development of CD (construction documentation) sets Participation with the design team in the selection of LL equipment (distribution, UPS, batteries) Preparation of manufacturing documentation Preparing BoMs for installation material and non-critical equipment Engineering supervision and support when equipping modules at the factory (Letterkenny) Engineering support to service team and subcontractors Involvement during the design stage trough content and constructability review, responsible for providing feedback (comments) into the design community.
Collaboration with local service and with the company operations team (project management, quality control, manufacturing, testing team and construction) in defining a project deployment strategy and executing the project Responsible for: o As Built Documentation o FAT procedures (L3) o Installation manuals o Assisting with Punch list items Communication with other Vertiv engineering specialists in order to implement the best solutions Collaborate with local service to beneficially improve project execution About you: Bachelor or master's in electrical engineering Experienced with electrical installation, basic knowledge about electrical equipment (UPS, cables, batteries) Proficient modeling skills required, preferred: Revit; EPLAN Active user of: Windows, MS Office incl.
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD Strong knowledge of English language, (B2) Happy to work in an office and support in factory.
