OverviewThe International Entity Controller is responsible for the framework governing the Company’s legal entity accounting, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance across all international jurisdictions. This leader ensures the Company’s entity structure operates within a disciplined control environment while delivering predictable statutory compliance, scalable reporting processes, and operational transparency across the legal entity structure.The role also drives modernization of the statutory reporting and legal entity governance model, leveraging automation, standardized processes, and operational metrics to enable a scalable global controllership infrastructure. The role reports into the Vice President, Corporate Controller.We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Dublin for our hybrid working model.ResponsibilitiesInternational Entity GovernanceOwn the Company’s international legal entity governance framework, ensuring disciplined oversight of all international entitiesMaintain comprehensive entity compliance calendars, statutory governance requirements, and local regulatory obligations across jurisdictionsPartner with Legal and Tax to support entity formation, restructuring, liquidations, and entity rationalisation initiativesEnsure the legal entity structure remains operationally efficient, compliant, and aligned with the Company’s global business modelPartner with the Tax organization to support any applicable income and/or indirect (VAT) tax auditsStatutory Financial ReportingOversee preparation and filing of statutory financial statements and regulatory filings across all international jurisdictionsEnsure appropriate alignment between U.S. GAAP reporting and local statutory reporting frameworks (IFRS and local GAAP where required)Maintain strong oversight of local statutory audit processes, ensuring consistent quality and predictable completion timelinesIntercompany & Cross-Border AccountingPartner with the Corporate Accounting / General Ledger team to drive the global framework for intercompany accounting, settlements, and cross-border funding activitiesPartner with Tax to operationalize transfer pricing policies and documentation requirementsOversee accounting for capital contributions, dividends, intercompany loans, and other cross-border financing and treasury initiativesGlobal Statutory Audit ManagementCoordinate statutory audits globally across all jurisdictionsDrive standardized audit readiness processes, documentation standards, and audit coordination practicesMaintain strong relationships with local auditors and external service providers supporting statutory reportingLegal Entity Structure OptimizationEvaluate and optimize the Company’s global entity footprint, identifying opportunities to simplify structures, reduce compliance burden, and improve operational efficiencySupport international expansion, acquisitions, and market entry initiatives by establishing appropriate legal entity and reporting structuresPartner with Corporate Development, Tax, and Legal on post-acquisition entity integration and restructuringProcess Transformation & AutomationDesign and implement scalable statutory reporting processes that reduce manual effort and improve global compliance visibilityLeverage ERP capabilities, workflow automation, and emerging technologies to modernize the global statutory reporting infrastructureEstablish standardized templates, reporting frameworks, and governance models across jurisdictionsOperational Metrics & Controllership InfrastructureEstablish a disciplined operating model with clear performance metrics, including:Statutory filing timeliness across jurisdictionsStatutory audit completion timelinesIntercompany settlement cycle timeLegal entity rationalization progressCompliance risk indicators and remediation trackingDevelop dashboards that provide clear visibility into global statutory compliance and entity governance risksLeadership & Cross-Functional PartnershipLead a global team responsible for international statutory reporting and legal entity accountingPartner closely with Corporate Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and regional finance leadership to support global operationsServe as the controllership subject matter expert for global entity governance and statutory risk managementQualifications12–15+ years of accounting experience, including leadership of international controllership or statutory reporting functions in a multinational public companyDeep expertise in U.S. GAAP and international statutory reporting frameworks (IFRS and local GAAP)Proven experience managing global statutory audits and multi-jurisdiction compliance programsStrong knowledge of intercompany accounting, transfer pricing structures, and global capital flowsExperience building scalable processes, governance frameworks, and automation initiatives in a multinational environmentACCA, CA, or CPA equivalent professional certification preferredAbout MongoDBMongoDB is built for change, empowering our customers and our people to innovate at the speed of the market.
