Job Description
The Senior Project Planner is responsible for the effective planning, allocation, and optimization of program resources across large-scale, complex programs. Operating within the Planning & Reporting function, the role ensures that resource demand, capacity, and availability are aligned with the approved program baseline and delivery priorities.Working closely with Planning Leads, Reporting Managers, and senior stakeholders, the Resource Manager provides visibility on resource utilization, identifies risks and constraints, and supports informed decision-making to maintain program performance, efficiency, and control.Key responsibilities:Develop and maintain program-level resource plans aligned with the approved baseline and delivery schedulesCoordinate resource demand and capacity planning across multiple workstreams and phasesMonitor resource utilization, availability, and constraints, identifying risks and mitigation actionsProvide regular reporting and analysis on resource status, trends, and forecasted needsSupport change control by assessing the resource impact of scope, schedule, or delivery changesCollaborate with Planning, Reporting, and Delivery teams to ensure integrated planning and consistencyEnsure resource data accuracy within planning and reporting systemsContribute to continuous improvement of resource management processes and standards across the program
QualificationsMinimum of 10+ years of experience in resource management, planning, or program controls within large, complex programs or major projectsProven experience working within integrated Planning & Reporting environmentsStrong understanding of resource planning, capacity management, and utilization trackingExperience supporting senior stakeholders with data-driven insights and recommendationsAbility to work across multiple teams and disciplines in complex delivery environmentsHigh level of analytical, organizational, and communication skillsProficiency with planning, scheduling, and reporting tools commonly used in major programs (Primavera P6 )
