Service EngineerResponsibilities will vary depending on the specific assignments, but generally include:Accessing and managing job assignments through the designated mobile system, following training provided;Promptly notifying the line manager and scheduling team of any issues that may impact arrival at a scheduled job, so that customers can be informed accordingly;Contacting customers at the start of the day with an estimated arrival time and providing updates in case of delays;Conducting visual risk assessments for each task and escalating any concerns to the line manager;Recording and reporting parts usage in line with procedures, ensuring all parts are appropriately accounted for, particularly when dealing directly with end users;Delivering a high standard of customer service, including discussing recommendations, service options, and potential upgrades, and documenting these in reports;Performing regular inventory checks on vehicle stock or stored equipment;Participating in on-the-job training and attending additional training as required;Communicating effectively with customers on-site, keeping them informed of progress, issues, or changes, and involving the office where unexpected costs arise;Using provided navigation tools to plan efficient travel routes, with vehicle tracking in place for safety and verification purposes;Maintaining company vehicles and equipment in accordance with internal policies;Completing any additional tasks assigned by the line manager as part of normal business operations.
