Job Title: IT Category ManagerPay Rates: €450 – €525 per dayHybrid: Working in Dublin Office (at least 2 visits per week to office)Duration: Initial 3 monthsYour RoleDevelop and execute comprehensive category strategies for IT procurement, focus area will be, engineering software and IT servicesLead strategic sourcing initiatives for complex IT categories with significant organizational impactAnalyse market trends, supplier capabilities, and internal requirements to identify optimization opportunitiesNegotiate and manage enterprise agreements with key technology vendors and service providersPartner with IT stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies accordinglyDrive cost savings, risk mitigation, and value creation across the IT categoryManage supplier relationships to ensure contractual compliance and value realisationImplement innovative procurement approaches that leverage emerging technologies and methodologiesProvide category expertise and guidance to procurement teams and business stakeholdersLead cross-functional teams in complex sourcing projects and digital transformation initiativesYour Background8+ years of procurement experience with at least 5 years specializing in IT category management, experience in Professional Services category would be desirable.Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship managementStrong understanding of IT infrastructure, software licensing models, cloud services, and emerging technologiesExperience managing enterprise-wide technology agreements and complex vendor relationshipsUnderstanding of IT & Professional Services engagement models, rate structures, and delivery methodologiesTrack record of successfully managing consulting firms, system integrators, and other IT & professional service providersExperience with statement of work (SOW) development, negotiation, and managementKnowledge of resource augmentation models and contingent workforce managementProven track record of delivering measurable cost savings and value improvementsAdvanced analytical skills and proficiency with procurement systems and data analysis toolsExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilitiesBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred
