We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join our research team. As a key member of our Continence Care Research and Development department, you will play a critical role in demonstrating the benefits of our current intermittent catheter portfolio and designing next-generation products.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish a urethral biology/health expertise within our organization.
* Develop clinically relevant test methods to understand urethral health and prevention of urinary tract infections.
* Research new technologies and develop solutions that drive new product platforms.
* Become the subject matter expert on underlying physiological mechanisms critical to maintaining urethral health.
* Provide technical support to New Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
Technical Responsibilities
* Lead and drive cell biology and technology development projects as an individual contributor and project team leader.
* Identify and develop new technologies and biological indicators of urethral health.
* Manage timelines, budget, and performance expectations for assigned technology development projects.
* Ensure the successful implementation of new technologies into commercial products.
Qualifications
* A minimum of Level 8 Degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical Science/Engineering, or Microbiology.
* A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Biomedical Science/Engineering with a focus on cell biology is a distinct advantage.
* At least 8 years of experience in the field with a B.S., 6 years with a M.S., or 3 years with a Ph.D.
Specialized Skills
* Deep knowledge of cell biology and biotechnology related to the urinary system.
* Innovative/Creative Thinker with the ability to conduct exploration of subject areas for novel concepts and approaches.
* Experience dealing with medical personnel and reducing their feedback to meaningful device concepts.
* Demonstrated advanced analytical problem-solving abilities.
