Guest Service Agent Overview
The Guest Service Agent role is a fun, dynamic, and essential position within the hotel—often serving as the
first and last point of contact
for our guests.
Guest Service Agents play a major role in shaping the overall guest experience.
Because of the visibility of this role, guests frequently rely on the front desk for answers, problem-solving, and support throughout their stay.
This particular position is unique:
our lobby check-in area doubles as the hotel bar
, so candidates
must have bartending experience
and feel confident balancing both hospitality and beverage service.
Guest Service Agents must think quickly on their feet, multitask with ease, and approach every situation with a positive, pleasant demeanor.
A strong "can-do" attitude is a must
Responsibilities
Greeting and thanking guests in a sincere, friendly, and professional manner
Checking guests in and out efficiently
Assigning rooms and completing administrative duties
Serving guests at the lobby bar, including preparing and serving beverages
Answering phones and responding to guest inquiries
Posting charges to appropriate accounts
Performing duties on the daily checklist
Communicating and passing information to departments to ensure seamless service
Engaging with guests, anticipating needs, and ensuring their stay exceeds expectations
Job Requirements
Bartending experience required (beer, wine, and cocktails)
A keen eye for detail, strong time-management, and excellent customer service skills
A pleasant, energetic, and friendly demeanor
Ability to multitask in a lively lobby/bar environment
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work with little supervision while maintaining high performance standards
Physical mobility and stamina to stand for extended periods
Must be able to pass a background check
Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing guest needs
