Physiotherapist - UPMC Sports Medicine Cork

Overview of role
UPMC provides high level sports injury management across Ireland. The UPMC Sports Medicine Program supports self-referrals and referrals from various sources. You will be part of the UPMC Network, liaise with other UPMC sports medicine sites and hospitals nationally and internationally. This is a 1 year fixed term contract.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assess, diagnose and rehabilitate injuries, with focus on sports rehabilitation.
Work within an interdisciplinary team of physiotherapists, orthopaedic surgeons and Sports Medicine Physicians.
Deliver world‑class physiotherapy services at the UPMC Sports Medicine Clinic.
Deliver Institute for Health classes across diverse populations, including rehab, chronic disease management and post‑surgery classes.
Manage a designated caseload of patients, prioritising clinical efficiency.
Assist in developing and improving evidence‑based physiotherapy protocols.
Participate in research in sports science, orthopaedics and physiotherapy.
Adhere to UPMC policies including GDPR compliance, health and safety and incident reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
MISCP and CORU registered.
Experience in injury screening, diagnostics, manual therapy and sports rehabilitation.
Strong knowledge of injury prevention methods and recovery strategies.
Structured CPD portfolio, including postgraduate qualifications.
Desirable:
Postgraduate Diploma or MSc in Sports Medicine.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years as a chartered physiotherapist.
Experience working in a sporting club and within an interdisciplinary sports science and medicine team.
Experience delivering injury diagnosis, treatment and prevention strategies in a sporting environment.

Salary
€44,122 - €61,953 per annum based on a 35 hour work week.
