We are currently supporting a global organisation with a requirement for a Network Engineer to join their team on a long‑term contract based in Cork.
This is a hands‑on role within a large‑scale campus environment where you will play a key role in maintaining network stability, supporting live operations, and delivering infrastructure improvements across a business‑critical site.

The Role
You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day performance, resilience and stability of the network environment, while also supporting ongoing projects and technology upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining and supporting the network across a large campus site
Managing incidents and ensuring minimal downtime to business operations
Supporting network changes, deployments and upgrades
Writing and executing test scripts following network changes
Contributing to network expansion and lifecycle upgrade projects
Collaborating with IT teams, vendors and business stakeholders
Communicating effectively on network issues and project delivery
Required Experience
Proven experience in Network Engineering or Network Operations (3+ years)
Strong hands‑on experience within enterprise network environments
Experience supporting live environments with a focus on uptime and resilience
Broad knowledge across networking, infrastructure and security technologies
Experience managing changes and supporting deployments
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
Cisco networking experience (CCNA or equivalent)
Experience working within manufacturing, pharma or large campus environments
Exposure to infrastructure lifecycle projects and network upgrades
Understanding of IT governance, change control and security processes
