Senior Project Engineer - Water Networks

You will lead critical national infrastructure projects and play a pivotal role in designing and delivering resilient, sustainable water treatment and network projects that impact communities.
As a delivery-focused engineer, you will be instrumental in the full project lifecycle—from concept to completion—ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceeding client expectations on every project.
The Opportunity
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
Lead the creation of innovative designs for complex network infrastructure, pumping stations, and groundwater abstraction sites.
Develop and compile critical project documentation, including in-depth feasibility studies, Multi-Criteria Assessments, site evaluations, specifications, and robust tender packages.
Manage the preparation of all necessary documentation to secure planning and regulatory approvals.
Act as the central technical liaison, coordinating seamlessly with internal environmental specialists, technical experts, clients, and contractors to drive projects forward.
Provide crucial technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, managing the preparation and quality assurance of all project drawings and technical inputs.
About You
Education:
Minimum Level 8 third-level degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
Sector Experience:
Significant post-qualification experience in water sector design (networks, treatment, or infrastructure).
Technical Mastery:
Deep professional and technical knowledge of water networks and infrastructure design principles.
Software Proficiency:
Competence in industry-standard software relevant to water network design (e.g., hydraulic modelling packages, CAD).
