Warehouse Team Leader - AshbourneYour role as a Warehouse Team Leader will be all about making sure every customer receives the very best service, this includes the end customer in our stores and internal customers onsite which include your colleagues on the warehouse floor and colleagues from the other departments onsite.
You will lead a team and we expect you to take huge pride in what you do, by picking orders for our stores accurately, in a fast-paced manner while adhering to Company policies and overseeing the site.

Our ethos is to offer a large variety of quality products at the lowest prices possible, we always give our customers more choice and more value.General and Task Management Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation which is able to fulfil operational demand and meet targets Train new Warehouse operatives within area of responsibility Ensure inventory accuracy levels are maintained and issues investigated and resolved Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately Support organising and participate in stock takes at regular intervals Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level Assist in planning future capacity requirements Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of products and materials is carried out in accordance with manual handling training Ensure that all vehicles, machinery and equipment are well maintained and fit for purpose Maintain high standards of security in the warehouse at all times Ensure team comply to Health & Safety and Covid measures and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency People Management Manage time and attendance for operatives and support Management team with people management issues Communicate with staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets and operational requirements Support with recruitment and training of staff as well as monitor performance and progress to ensure targets are met Report progress updates, key achievements and any concerns to the Warehouse Manager and/or Senior Management Relationship Management Liaise with Ashbourne warehouse, Drivers and Transport companies as and when required in a timely waySelf Management Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies Assertive, resilient and welcomes change Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with others Proactively contributes to the team and actively committed to team development Is self aware and optimistic Shows moral courage, openness and honesty in all dealingsSkills and Attributes Supervisory and Team Leader skills with the ability to motivate, develop and supervise others Good communication and interpersonal skills Good IT skills, and a basic knowledge of warehouse systems Good understanding of deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality Good planning skills and able to meet targets and deadlines Excellent attention to detailOtherWorking any 5 out of 7 days including early, late and weekend shifts.Cycle to work schemeStaff discountEmployee Assistance ProgrammeEducation opportunities20 days annual leave
