The company are based in Sligo with 95% of their work being in and around Sligo Town and staying on projects within the West of Ireland.
About Your New Job
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects.
You will be responsible for cost estimation, budget management, and financial reporting, ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering assessments.
Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports to management.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
Manage subcontractor payments and oversee contract administration.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify any financial discrepancies.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible pricing.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to cost management.
What Skills You Need
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Membership or eligibility for membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., SCSI, RICS) is preferred.
