Senior Financial Crime Risk Manager (Fixed Term Contract)
Monzo Bank invites applications for a Senior Financial Crime Risk Manager role on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, based in Dublin with a hybrid working model.
About the role
As part of our European Risk & Compliance function, you will support the Director of Fraud & Financial Crime Risk (MLRO) and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations across Monzo Bank Europe.
You will play a key role in aligning cross‑functional teams, engaging with regulators, and advancing our Financial Crime strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with the Central Bank of Ireland and other regulatory bodies on behalf of the MLRO.
Provide strategic oversight of First Line of Defence Financial Crime Operations.
Translate regulatory requirements into operational solutions and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
Oversee compliance monitoring and assurance activities across the three lines of defence.
Develop data‑driven presentations and reports to support prioritisation.
Champion and execute strategic projects aligned with Monzo's EU expansion.
Support the MLRO in delegated duties and key forums/committees.
Qualifications
Deep expertise in Financial Crime risks and regulatory requirements within banking or payments in Ireland and other EU jurisdictions.
Track record of driving outcomes, building consensus, and influencing stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and stakeholder management across multiple teams.
Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
Proactive problem solving and ability to multitask in fast‑paced environments.

Competitive salary €85,000‑€103,500 per year plus share options and benefits, including:
