HOPE Creative Studio, the newly established creative branch of HOPE, is seeking a dynamic
and visionary Illustrator/Animator to join our growing creative team. This role offers a unique
opportunity to help build and shape a studio devoted to storytelling, inclusion, and impact—
creating animation, illustration, children's books, educational tools, and visual media designed to
support neurodivergent children and their families.
About the Role:
As the Illustrator/Animator, you will be producing high-quality visual content and participating
in the daily operations, direction, and growth of the studio. You will be part of the design and
animation team, managing creative projects from concept to delivery, and play a key part in
shaping the voice, brand, and purpose of our studio.
Key Responsibilities:
* • Design and illustrate original characters, scenes, and visuals for storybooks, educational content, digital platforms, and parent training materials
* • Animate short-form content (2D) for social media, educational reels, and children's content
* • Collaborate with writers, educators, and the wider team to bring meaningful stories to life
* • Participate all creative projects, workflows, and deadlines
* • Collaborate with other creatives, interns, and freelancers
* • Maintain file organization, version control, and branding consistency
* • Participate regular creative reviews and feedback loops
* • Contribute to the creative vision and mission of our Creative Studio
* • Pitch new ideas and revenue-generating opportunities (children's books, merchandise, commissions, partnerships)
* • Develop visual standards and creative guidelines aligned with our values
* • Any other as directed by Team Lead/Management
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* • Good experience in illustration and animation (2D/3D essential)
* • Strong portfolio of completed works, especially in character design, storytelling, or children's content
* • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Toon Boom, or similar animation software
* • Excellent organizational and communication skills
* • Passion for inclusion, and social impact through art
* Minimum qualification - First degree diploma or relevant experience
Salary & Benefits:
* • €30,000 – €45,000 per annum, depending on experience
