We are offering a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious building physics professional to join our team. We need your expertise to provide support to our wider engineering and sustainability team in the areas of Building Compliance using IES Software, development of improvement pathway reports for BER's to help in building renovations and valuations at point of sale and also to help our building performance team through the creation of digital twins.

Candidate Profile
You will be passionate about the role and be experienced, competent and understand the manual calculation methodologies associated with IES software. Knowledge of other software - DesignBuilder, HAP, would be an advantage. Work experience within a fast-paced service, construction or engineering, sustainability environment would be a distinct advantage.
Beyond technical competency you will be offered important ancillary training and competency building in the areas of financial literacy, management of a team and sale and marketing.

Key Requirements:
* Ideally 5+ years’ experience as a sustainability/energy consultant or related position
* Degree in a construction/environmental/engineering or related field desirable with proven performance in Building Physics & IES
* Proficiency with IES:VE software to carry out energy modelling and analysis
* Completion of IES training to allow commercial BER's to be published and working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations
Skills and Attributes:
* Relevant experience in a similar modeller or consultancy role within the built environment industry
* Educational background within an engineering field
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
Key Responsibilities/Role Requirements:
* Producing accurate building simulation models and
* Coordinate and collaborate with building owners, design, construction, and operational teams.
* Understand the role of each team member in achieving targets and be able to communicate it effectively
* Managing own workload to meet project deadlines
* Producing reports and providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams
* Attending site visits to review progress against sustainability targets
* Arranging and attending meetings, taking minutes and distributing actions
* Completing relevant training to become certified as an assessor against one of the core assessment methodologies
* Understanding of operational, embodied and net-zero carbon strategies
* You will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of our services through upskilling, market research and knowledge-sharing
