Together, we continue to grow through innovation, expanding our products into new territories, and building strong partnerships worldwide.Purpose of the jobWe are seeking an experienced Corporate Compliance Officer (CCO) to join Besins Healthcare. This high-impact role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and scale our compliance efforts across global markets. The CCO will report functionally to the General Counsel and have a dotted line to the Compliance Committee, which oversees the compliance efforts of Besins Healthcare and is composed of senior directors of the Group.Key Responsibilities:Compliance Program Development: Partner with the Compliance Committee and the General Counsel to develop and implement the application of our Compliance Policies. Ensure the compliance corpus is applied uniformally across regions.Policy Management: Develop, update, and monitor compliance policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with the company's global corporate requirements and industry standards.Risk Assessment: Identify areas of potential compliance risks, analyze potential impacts, and develop action plans to address these risks under the leadership of the General Counsel.Reporting: Report to the Compliance Committee on the application of Compliance Policies, proposed revisions, and the results of any investigations conducted in cases of policy violations.Training and Development: Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees, including introductory training for new hires and ongoing training for all staff.Investigations: Conduct internal investigations of non-compliance cases, report findings to the Compliance Committee, and recommend corrective actions.Audit and Monitoring: Conduct regular audits and continuous monitoring of the company's internal business processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws and the Code of Conduct and Compliance Policies.Advisory Role: Provide value-adding advice to the Compliance Committee, operational management, and Besins Healthcare Regions on embedding the Besins Values, Code of Conduct and Compliance Policies in their activities.Cross-Functional Projects: Lead and participate in complex cross-functional projects affecting compliance issues, including regional and global initiatives.Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with amendments to the legal framework and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders. Ensure timely submission of compliance-related data to regulators.Additional Responsibilities:Compliance Committee Support: Organize and serve as the Secretary of the Compliance Committee meetings. Ensure meetings take place on a quarterly basis and track open matters until closure.Documentation: Maintain a record of all applicable policies and review them periodically. Prepare minutes of Compliance Committee meetings in a timely manner.External Representation: Represent the company in any professional association for matters of Compliance and at meetings on compliance matters.RequirementsEducation: Advanced certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP). Background in law or legal training (minimum LLB or equivalent) with at least five years of experience in a similar position.Skills: excellent communication skills, diplomacy, a keen commercial sense, and a deep understanding of compliance requirements. Excellent technical writing ability, Ability to communicate at executive level, foster a collaborative work environment, and make informed decisions under pressure. Understanding of cultural nuances to ensure effective communication across different regions.Experience: Proven track record in developing and implementing compliance programs, conducting audits and investigations, and providing compliance training. Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is preferred.Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (required), other languages, such as French welcome, to effectively communicate with diverse Regions.Interested?
