We are hiring an Electrical Engineer to support a very high-profile pharmaceutical client in Co. Limerick. The successful Electrical Engineer will provide technical electrical design support for new Process Area CAPEX projects and assist with small projects and operations on site.
Duties and Responsibilities
Design and maintenance of LV systems (Lighting, General Services, UPS, Protection Settings incl. Arc Flash) and ELV systems (Fire Alarm, Data points, Building Automation).
Manage small projects related to electrical system infrastructure.
Assist in the design review, site acceptance and installation of electrical equipment.
Prepare and maintain electrical drawings and related documentation.
Design and specify cGMP E\&I equipment and process controls.
Manage electrical systems residing on the business IT network.
Support validation department by preparation of design documents and assist in protocol execution.
Investigate equipment and control system anomalies, including power quality events.
Prepare engineering evaluations and execute modification change control documentation.
Supervise electrical contractors and confirm works are to the required standard.
Prepare risk assessments, method statements and all aspects relating to Health and Safety on site.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by enforcing procedures, policies, and regulations.
Maintain company reputation by enforcing compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and regulations.
Authority
Have authority to stop the job if there is an unsafe work practice that could result in a risk of injury, an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
Carry out duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.
Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in electrical engineering, ideally within a regulated or pharmaceutical environment.
Proven experience in the design, commissioning, and maintenance of LV and ELV electrical systems.
Knowledge of cGMP requirements, validation processes, and change control procedures.
Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and technical report writing skills.
Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
