Information Security Manager – Higher Education Sector – Dublin City (Hybrid)
This is a 3-year fixed-term contract role based in Dublin City. Hybrid model in place with 2 days remote per week. You'll lead security strategy across a large, public-sector technology environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and lead the university's information security strategy, policies, and risk framework.
2. Manage the information security risk register and mitigation actions.
3. Oversee security architecture and controls across systems and networks.
4. Lead incident response, including simulations and investigations.
5. Provide expert guidance to leadership, and drive a culture of cyber awareness.
Requirements:
6. 5+ years in IT leadership with a strong focus on cyber/information security.
7. Third-level degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related area.
8. Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.
9. Strong experience with frameworks like ISO, NIST, and regulations like GDPR/NIS2.
10. Proven ability to lead a security team and manage technical and vendor relationships.
