This is a key role within our payroll team, responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing.
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Payroll Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll, ideally within a bureau environment, and a strong background in either an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Managing a portfolio of UK payroll clients (ranging from 1 to 700 employees)
* Serving as the main point of contact for all client payroll queries and relationships
* Overseeing complex payroll tasks including benefits, pensions, and statutory deductions
* Administering both weekly and monthly payroll runs
* Supporting business development through client retention, upselling, and onboarding
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Extensive experience in payroll, ideally within a bureau environment
* A strong background in either an accountancy practice or payroll bureau
* CIPP qualification preferred but not essential
