FAAS is a specialist accounting team that supports complex, large-scale and multinational companies in the financial services sector, by delivering tailored solutions to address financial and operational challenges.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, review, and finalise financial statements in the financial services/asset management industry
* Manage end-to-end statutory and regulatory reporting processes
* Resolve complex GAAP/regulatory queries
* Build strong relationships with client representatives
* Liaise with investment managers, fund accounting team, and auditors
* Assist/lead team supervision, performance management, staff development and training
* Drive system enhancements and reporting efficiency
* Promote FAAS both internally and externally
Skills and Qualifications
* Strong experience and knowledge in the financial services/asset management industry either directly or through practice
* Experience in a variety of funds types/structures such as mutual funds, UCITs, ICAVs, Private equity, REITs, SPVs is an advantage
* ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent IFAC qualification
* 3-5+ years PQE practical experience of auditing or preparing financial statements
* Proficient in IFRS & US GAAP with some knowledge of Irish GAAP and Luxembourg GAAP
* Strong understanding of accounting and regulatory requirements related to funds
* Strong computer skills – advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
* ERP system experience such as Geneva, Investran, Oracle, SAP, Workday – desirable
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to resolve issues as they arise
* Strong communication and report-writing skills with good Excel ability
* Ability to learn quickly and stay updated on industry developments
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Strong project management skills

* Self-motivated and able to work within a team
