General Operative
Based in Dunboyne, Meath Metal Products is a family run sheet metal manufacturing company.
In business for over 40 years, we employ 30 people, with a focus on manufacturing precision engineering components and pressings for various industries, ensuring the highest standards of excellence in our products.
We are looking for skilled General Operatives to join our company.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for assisting in the production of sheet metal components, ensuring a smooth workflow, and contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
Participate in product assembly, fitting fabricated parts together using hand tools and equipment.
Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet established standards and specifications.
Handle raw materials and assist in inventory management by accurately recording usage and reporting shortages.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of sheet metal fabrication machinery, such as cutting, bending, and forming equipment.
Monitor machinery to ensure proper functioning, identifying and reporting any technical issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, work independently when required, and exhibit punctuality by consistently arriving at work on time.
Flexible to carry out other duties as may be requested by your manager over time
Skills/Experience Required
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Adherence to safety protocols and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment.
Comfortable working in a busy environment.
Previous experience in sheet metal manufacturing or a similar production environment desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, work independently, and maintain punctuality in attendance.

Normal working week is 39 hours
Monday – Thursday 8:*******:30
Friday 8:*******:30
This is a manufacturing position.
You will be required to wear safety boots (steel toe capped) and other relevant PPE equipment.
