Manager, Competitive Intelligence at Salesforce

The Salesforce Competitive Intelligence team seeks a curious self‑starter for the Manager/Senior Manager role on our scale team, aligned with the global SMB organization. You will deliver competitive insights that guide strategy and success for the Sales team, supporting competitive deal outreach, programs, and initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Think strategically and advise senior sales leadership.
* Identify gaps, recommend actions, set plans and drive execution.
* Act as first point of contact for competitive sales topics for the OU, collaborating with other functions to improve win rates.
* Define and execute competitive programs for SMB markets.
* Provide proactive / reactive deal support to sales teams on specific competitive opportunities.
* Identify, develop, and deliver enablement to arm Sellers with competitive strategies.
* Stay tuned to market signals (competitive messaging, trends, etc.) to identify engagement opportunities.
Required Skills
* Strong communication and presentation skills.

* Ability to work independently and in a larger team setting.
* High sense of urgency to respond to critical business questions.
* Experience turning data into actionable insights.
* Curious, analytical, innovative, and creative with execution capability.
* Knowledge of Salesforce solutions and market differentiation.
* Proven success working strategically as part of competitive sales processes.
Preferred Experience
* 5+ years of technical experience as a solutions engineer, enterprise architect, technical architect, product manager or engineer.
* Experience working with sales teams in multiple locations.
* Knowledge of our biggest competitors.
Education & Experience
* Understanding of Salesforce’s current data/reporting/governance tools and sales processes.
* Degree or equivalent relevant experience. Experience evaluated on core competencies.
