Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced
CSA Project Quantity Surveyor
to manage the financial, contractual, and commercial aspects of
Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA)
packages on large-scale Power & Renewables projects. This role covers the full project lifecycle – from tender stage to final accounts – ensuring maximum commercial benefit while maintaining compliance with contractual and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
As CSA Project Quantity Surveyor, you will:
* Prepare budgets, BOQs, reports, and profit plans.
* Lead and manage interim commercial meetings with clients and project teams.
* Report on project commercial status to the Project Manager.
* Manage subcontractor accounts, interim valuations, and final accounts.
* Process payment certificates in line with sub-contract and procurement terms.
* Administer contract obligations and client requirements.
* Issue interim and final accounts, including progress applications, remeasures, site changes, dayworks, and claims.
* Identify and report potential commercial risks, escalating to Senior Management where required.
* Collaborate with Planning Engineers to ensure accurate progress reporting.
* Cost and agree on daily work changes, subcontractor remeasurements, dayworks, and site change orders.
* Maintain detailed records to support commercial tracking and costing.
* Negotiate effectively with clients and subcontractors.
* Set a positive example of professionalism, loyalty, and work ethic.
* Adhere to company policies and compliance standards at all times.
Requirements
Essential:
* Degree in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Strong knowledge of CSA construction methods, contracts (NEC, FIDIC, JCT, etc.), and procurement processes.
* Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of contract conditions and their applications.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent record-keeping and administration skills.
Desirable:
* Prior work placement or professional experience in a similar role.
* Ability to prepare and manage comprehensive claims, including dayworks, unit rate work, and contract work.
* Understanding of cost escalations (labour and material) and ability to formulate accurate claims.
