Overview
Accounts Payable Specialist – 6-month project with a client just north of Cincinnati, Ohio. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of accounts payable experience and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. This is a 6-month temporary assignment with pay between $19 and $24/hr.
Responsibilities
* Process and verify incoming invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
* Match purchase orders and receipts to invoices and resolve discrepancies.
* Code and enter invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner.
* Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
* Maintain accurate vendor records and respond to inquiries regarding payments.
* Assist with month-end closing tasks, including account reconciliations and reporting.
* Collaborate with internal departments such as procurement and operations to resolve issues.
* Support audits by providing documentation and responding to requests.
* Participate in virtual meetings as needed using Microsoft Teams.
Requirements
* 2+ years of accounts payable experience
* Experience with an ERP accounting system
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work onsite 100% of the time
