Shipping Agent
Argosea Services Limited is an independent, Irish owned shipping company established in 1970.
Argosea Services Limited is recruiting for a full time position based at our office at Foynes, Co. Limerick.
As a member of the shipping operations team & reporting directly to the Agency Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing of vessels in port.
This will include duties:

Boarding and servicing vessels at all operational ports and carrying out Ship Agency duties.

Office duties which will include import and export documentation.
·
Co-ordination of customer loading and ship discharge including overseeing of contractors.
·
Point of contact for customers and suppliers for the provision of agency, stevedoring and other ad-hoc services.
·
Assistance with operation of weighbridge and warehousing activities.
·
Stevedoring Operative for vessel loading/discharging as required.
·
Acting at all times within the framework of the Argosea team and as part of the scheduled
24/7 roster.
Suitable internal and external training will be provided as required.
Experience/Skills required:
·
Office based experience or experience in a similar role such as logistics or weighbridge operations is desirable.
·
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
·
Full clean driving licence required with own car.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written to enable the candidate to build on well established client relationships.
·
Strong attention to detail & forward planning.
The Offer
:
This position is being offered as a permanent role with a generous base salary on offer but depending on candidate skills & experience to date.
This position will be fully office based in Foynes, Co. Limerick so candidates will ideally be based in the region or willing to commute or relocate if necessary. This role will also include 1 weekend work scheduled in every 4 & occasional on-call periods with time in lieu given.
