Senior Director – Technology Delivery & Transformation (Banking) - Contract – Dublin (Hybrid) – 12 monthsOverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director level Technology Delivery Leader to lead large-scale banking transformation programmes. This role is responsible for driving complex, multi-stream delivery across digital, core banking and platform teams, ensuring high-quality execution while modernising technology and operating models.This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who has run large, mission-critical programmes (120+ staff) within tier-1 banks or financial services organisations, ideally including mobile and digital banking platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and govern large-scale technology delivery programmes spanning digital, mobile, core banking and data platformsOwn end-to-end programme execution, delivery assurance and financial controlManage 120+ delivery staff across multiple workstreams, vendors and geographiesAct as the senior point of contact for CIO, CTO and business leadershipAlign business strategy with technology execution, ensuring measurable outcomesEstablish and enforce delivery standards, governance, and risk managementOversee mobile and digital platform delivery (iOS, Android, backend APIs, integration)Lead remediation of underperforming programmes and recovery of at-risk initiativesSupport vendor management, contract negotiations and commercial oversightRequired Experience15+ years in technology delivery within Banking or Financial ServicesLed large delivery organisations (120+ engineers, architects, analysts, testers, DevOps)Strong background in enterprise software development & deliveryExperience delivering digital banking and mobile platforms (preferred)Track record of leading major transformation programmes (cloud, core modernisation, digital, agile)Deep understanding of banking systems, payments, channels, and regulatory environmentsExperience working with onshore, nearshore and offshore teamsStrong experience in programme recovery, risk management, and stakeholder leadershipTechnical & Delivery BackgroundDigital & mobile platforms (native or hybrid mobile architectures)Cloud transformation (AWS, Azure, GCP)DevOps, CI/CD, modern SDLCAgile at scale (SAFe, Spotify, or equivalent)Leadership & Stakeholder SkillsExecutive-level communication with C-suite and BoardProven ability to run multi-vendor, multi-country delivery modelsComfortable making hard commercial and delivery decisionsStrong governance, escalation, and risk ownership mindsetAble to operate in high-pressure, regulator-facing environmentsNice to HaveExperience in mobile-first banking or digital-only banksExperience in large-scale platform modernisationExperience with PSD2, Open Banking, Payments or Core Banking transformations
