Overview
A well-established communications consultancy with a strong corporate client base is seeking a
Public Relations Account Director
to oversee strategic direction, client leadership, and high-level reputation management programmes. This role suits a seasoned communications professional who can provide authoritative counsel, drive operational excellence, and support the continued growth of the consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and delivery of integrated communications strategies for major corporate accounts.
* Provide senior counsel on reputation, stakeholder engagement, media relations, and issues management.
* Oversee a multi-level team, ensuring high performance, effective workload management, and professional development.
* Manage the consultancy's most complex client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser to senior executives and boards.
* Shape narrative, messaging, and content strategies across corporate, public affairs, and thought-leadership activity.
* Support crisis and issues response planning, ensuring clients are prepared and appropriately advised.
* Contribute to business planning, commercial strategy, and new business development.
* Maintain strong relationships across the Irish and UK media landscapes, as well as key industry stakeholders.
Experience & Skills
* Typically 10+ years' experience in corporate communications, PR, or related strategic advisory roles.
* Demonstrated expertise in leading large accounts and managing senior-level clients.
* Strong command of corporate storytelling, strategic messaging, and executive advisory.
* Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and multi-channel communications programmes.
* Skilled in navigating sensitive or high-pressure scenarios with discretion and sound judgement.
