FYI: FS Ireland is expanding its Technology Consulting team as a key component of its NextWave strategy, recruiting highly-skilled professionals with customer and digital platforms experience to drive multi-channel technology-enabled transformation projects/programmes within Financial Services.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical delivery of payment/cards projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time with high quality standards.
Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, engineering and test leads to drive delivery.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track progress, and manage changes in scope, schedule, and cost.
Oversee the development and testing of payment systems.
Stay abreast of the latest payment industry trends to drive innovation within the company.
Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Skills and Attributes for Success
8+ years of strong experience in technical project management, focused on payment and/or card systems.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship building across business and technology.
Proven experience with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall & Agile).
Strong understanding of payment processing systems, payment architecture, and industry regulations.
Good knowledge of European payment schemes (e.g., SEPA).
Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience delivering business value from technology to senior business stakeholders.
Experience working in banks across multiple product domains (Retail, Corporate, SME, Treasury).
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Strong academic record, preferably a third-level degree in IT or a related field.
