Contract Analyst I
We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Analyst to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. As a Contract Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the coordination and development of contracts and change orders for newly awarded and ongoing clinical research projects within the Biotech sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain experience in clinical trial contracts within a global organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract management principles and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, coordinate and negotiate Work Orders (initial contracts) and Change Orders (updates to the contracts throughout the life of the study), working directly with small to mid-size biotech companies on large, complex, full-service studies, often in cutting edge areas such genomic medicine to first-in-class immunotherapies.
2. Manage multiple contracts simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in delivery.
3. Collaborate with operational, legal, and sales teams to determine appropriate terms and conditions for inclusion in agreements.
4. Participate in on the job training to develop knowledge of ICON's costing tools, budget templates, and client-specific requirements.
5. Create cash neutral payment schedules in line with project requirements.
6. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in Salesforce, ensuring clear tracking of contract status.
7. Communicate proactively with project teams and clients regarding contract and change order progress.
8. Attend client-related meetings and assist with contract-related discussions and follow-ups.
9. Support global colleagues in their client interactions and contract negotiations where time zone issues present.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Ideally Have:
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field (graduates are welcome to apply).
* 1-2 years' experience in an administrative, coordination, or support role is a plus.
* A good knowledge of the Biotech industry and the clinical trial process.
* Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data and templates.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong sense of professionalism.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
* Show agility to learn and work with different formats and outputs in real time.
* Adaptability in a dynamic role that services multiple business units.
* A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and an interest in developing a career within clinical research or contracts management.
