HR MANAGER - GALWAY I am currently seeking a HR Manager to be part of a progressive and energetic sports organisation located in the West of Ireland. This organisations is a key role in developing the sporting landscape of the region, presenting an exciting opportunity for a strategic and people-oriented HR professional to make a real difference. This position is offered on a 3-year fixed-term basis, with a hybrid working model (minimum of three days on-site, with flexibility during peak times). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Promote a positive workplace environment through proactive employee engagement Partner with departmental leaders to identify and address training and development requirements Strengthen and support the organisations performance management processes Provide expert HR advice and assistance across all levels of staff and leadership Manage and update the HR system and maintain accurate employee records Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including participation in interview panels Prepare employment contracts for both staff and players Handle work permit applications and renewals Liaise with relevant governing bodies on onboarding and exit processes Oversee the full employee lifecycle Offer guidance on statutory leave entitlements (maternity, paternity, parental, sick leave, etc.) Administer employee benefits schemes Keep up to date with employment law and update HR policies as needed Clearly articulate changes to HR policies and initiatives across the organisation Work alongside external HR and payroll providers to address employee matters Process monthly payroll changes in coordination with the Finance team Serve as the main contact for industrial and employee relations issues Provide HR support to player development managers as required Take the lead or contribute to various HR projects and new initiatives Perform additional tasks as assigned by senior leadership CANDIDATE PROFILE Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant business or HR discipline At least 3 years experience in a senior HR or People & Culture leadership role Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organisational capabilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to build trusted professional relationships Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and HR best practices Experience in coaching, mentoring, and staff development Skilled in the use of HR technologies and tools Active membership with CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) Skills: "CIPD" "Mentoring" "coaching
