Associate Director Environmental ScientistFehily Timoney and Company is seeking to appoint an Associate Director of Environmental Science to join our Environmental Science team in either the Cork, Dublin or Carlow office.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the growth of our environmental services and will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
This role provides exposure to a diverse range of environmental projects, including (but not limited to) planning and EIAR, waste management, infrastructure development, waste licensing and permitting, industrial emissions licensing, and environmental due diligence.
FT's ResponsibilitiesWhat would my main responsibilities be in this role? Collaborating closely with the Group Director and Senior Leadership TeamLeading and managing the Environmental Science TeamOverseeing project planning and delivery in coordination with Project ManagersLeading multidisciplinary civil and environmental design teams to ensure timely, high quality and cost-effective project deliveryManaging client relationships and overseeing effective communicationsIdentifying and driving business development and growth opportunitiesSupervising, mentoring and supporting team members at various levelsReviewing and approving technical reports, proposals and tender documentationEnsuring adherence to quality assurance systems, management processes and relevant health and safety legislationSkills / QualificationsAre you the right person for the role? A degree in relevant environmental discipline, with Chartership statusA minimum of 15 years post-graduate experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or managerial positionProven leadership and team management capabilitiesExperience working within multidisciplinary design teamsStrong track record of engagements with clients, external stakeholders and sub-consultantsDemonstrated experience in business development and client relationship managementProficient in budget creation and financial management of projectsA dynamic and proactive professional with excellent communication, organisational and analytical skillsCollaborative, adaptable, and a strong team memberSelf-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectivelyWillingness to travel for site visits and client meetings as requiredIs FT the right fit for you?
