Red D are recruiting a Deputy General Manager for a stylish, well-loved property in Cork with a strong local following and a reputation for relaxed, high-quality service. Working closely with the General Manager, this is a hands-on, senior role with real scope. Youll be responsible for overseeing the daily operation, leading a close-knit team, and ensuring the smooth delivery of both service and standards. The property includes an all-day restaurant and bar, so strong Food & Beverage experience is key. The ideal candidate will be people-focused and comfortable managing a team in a fast-moving, service-led environment. Youll be calm, confident, and have a sharp eye for detailable to lead from the floor, jump in when needed, and support your team to deliver memorable experiences. What Youll Be Doing: Overseeing day-to-day operations across all departments, with a focus on F&B Supporting the GM with planning, service strategy, and team development Managing staffing, rotas, training and performance Handling guest feedback and ensuring service consistency Working closely with the kitchen and restaurant management teams Monitoring quality, costs, and operational standards What Youll Bring: Previous experience in a senior hotel or restaurant management role Strong background in Food & Beverage operations Calm, approachable leadership style with a sharp focus on standards A hands-on, guest-facing approach and a genuine love of Irish hospitality Excellent team-building and communication skills This is a great opportunity for a current Deputy GM, Director of Food & Beverage or experienced Operations Manager looking to join a friendly, professional team in one of Corks most characterful properties.
