Unleash your talent and redefine what's possible.Job Description:Parsons is anticipating the need for a Discipline Engineer to join our team and support on a complex infrastructure project in Dublin.In this role, you will provide expert technical oversight and integration support across multiple engineering disciplines, ensuring design and construction activities align with programme objectives and readiness for operational delivery.What You'll Be DoingProvide multidisciplinary technical and integration support across Systems, Civils & Structures, Stations, Pway/Alignment, Comms & Signalling, Geotech, Highways & Drainage, Fire Engineering, MEPH, and Traction/OCS.Interpret and translate client briefs into actionable design requirements, ensuring alignment with programme objectives.Develop and implement integration strategies to ensure all systems function cohesively as part of the overall project.Plan and oversee system testing and verification to confirm integration, compliance, and performance requirements are met.Maintain comprehensive records of integration processes, configurations, and workflows to support traceability and compliance.Identify and resolve interoperability issues across subsystems, technologies, and interfaces.Support external validation, verification, and oversight activities as required.Lead technical reporting and design verification activities, ensuring multidisciplinary alignment and high-quality outputs.Manage design resources, deliverable outputs, and provide guidance to project teams.Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on delivery.
What Required Skills You'll Bring10+ years' extensive multi-disciplinary engineering experience, with 5+ years specializing in the design and development of metro or rail systems.A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.Proven experience across Systems, Civils & Structures, Stations, Pway/Alignment, Comms & Signaling, Geotech, Highways & Drainage, Fire Engineering, MEPH, and Traction/OCS.Experience producing scheme and detailed design reports, layouts, schematics, and calculations within multidisciplinary rail projects.Experience conducting site surveys, inspections, and documenting asset conditions.Strong collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and ensure cohesive project delivery.Proven problem-solving skills and ability to resolve design integration issues proactively.
What Desired Skills You'll BringExtensive knowledge of engineering specifications and standards (BS, EN, IS, NFPA) to ensure compliance and excellence.Proficiency in design software applications and engineering modelling tools.Experience in quality assurance and risk management for technical deliverables.Chartered Engineer (EI or equivalent) preferred.Membership or Fellowship of a relevant Engineering Institution.Note: This position is contingent upon project award and future funding, this exciting new opportunity is planned to commence in Spring 2026.
