Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Wallace Myers International. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive and planned maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and collaborating with the Production Team to achieve targets.
Main Responsibilities
* Perform preventive and planned maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment logs
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues efficiently
* Conduct electro-mechanical repairs on PLC-controlled systems and various components
* Monitor production lines and intervene when performance deteriorates
* Assess faults independently and determine necessary repairs
* Support the Production Team to achieve targets
* Use resources effectively for breakdown recovery
* Collaborate with equipment suppliers for installations and upgrades
* Maintain organized workshops and tools
* Ensure spare parts are ordered timely
* Follow stores and parts procedures
* Report equipment damage for corrective action
* Adhere to Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations, including PPE usage
Requirements
* 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience
* Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic skills
* Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation
* Ability to read technical drawings
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Understanding of preventive maintenance
* Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
* Basic CMMS knowledge
* Relevant certifications (advantageous)
