We are seeking an energetic, committed Psychologist to join our Children's Disability Network Services South Kerry Team (Network 3) We offer excellent public sector conditions, flexible family friendly working policies and career progression.

STAFF GRADE CLINICAL / EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST Ref: ******* Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week) Children Disability Team (South Kerry) Network 3 (Outreach services in Tralee, Killorglin and Caherciveen) Job Summary This post is in South Kerry (Network 3), working as part of an Interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young adults, 0-18yrs and their families.
This will include children with Intellectual, Physical, Sensory disability, children on the Autistic Spectrum and children at risk of or query developmental delay; where their needs require the support of an Interdisciplinary Disability team.
This team is under the national model of service provision "Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People" lead by the HSE.
The successful candidate will be employed by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland.
The South Kerry team is based in Killarney with an outreach services to Tralee, Killorglin and Caherciveen to provide input to families from the South Kerry area.
Assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions are provided by an Interdisciplinary team.
The CDNT aims to maximise the child/ young adult's full potential and works within the context of the family and community, empowering and supporting parents/care givers and family members.
Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc Candidates must have professional qualification as per the Department of Health guidelines See job description for full criteria.
Have a university degree or diploma (QQI Level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject, AND Have an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology OR An equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health.
AND Must have 6 months experience of working as a Psychologist, or Trainee Psychologist under supervision, with children with disabilities (Intellectual Disability, Autism and/or Physical and Sensory disabilities) 2.
Driving Licence Must have a full driving license and means of transport which qualifies you to drive on Irish roads.

Age The Public Service Superannuation (Age of Retirement) Act, ***** set 70 years as the compulsory retirement age for public
servants.
* Public Servants not affected by this legislation: Public servants recruited between 1 April **** and 31 December **** (new entrants) have no compulsory retirement age.
Public servants recruited since 1 January **** are members of the Single Pension Scheme and have a compulsory retirement age
of 70

office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service

Salary Scale: €61,976 - €106,101 including 2 LSI's per annum (PSPP 1/8/25).
* Successful candidates are required to submit all documentary evidence outlining any relevant experience within 3 months of starting date.
Failure to do so will mean that any incremental credit due now will only be paid from date of submission of documents.
