Role Description:
* For this role, time will be divided between two departments, Internships and Student Affairs Support.
* With the Internship Manager, set up and manage professional practice internships for international undergraduate and graduate students with organisations across.
* Develop new internship areas and opportunities, using business development methods such as attending in-person networking events and cold-calling.
* Responsible for the placement of interns including: conducting interviews, corresponding, regularly updating on progress and discussing sensitive information on video calls and via email.
* Participate and plan events for both students and internship hosts
* Liaise with IES Dublin and IES Chicago staff in connection with the internship application process
* Oversee the provision of student pre-departure advice and information
* Respond to student queries and questions
* Participate in IES Dublin field trips and student events
* Use LinkedIn and other media formats to identify hosts and spread awareness of programmes to both internal and external audience.
* Participate in the weekly rotation of the 24/7 Emergency Phone schedule
* Assist with the management of orientation, provide students with comprehensive programme information and be comfortable presenting to student groups in person and over Zoom.
* Data management of programming and the completion and provision of all necessary documentation across a shared data base.
* All other projects and duties as assigned by line manager and/or Centre Director.
* Some evening and weekend work will be required
Experience & Qualifications/skills:
* A degree in business or relevant field
* Exceptional interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and to strict deadlines
* A minimum of 2+ years sales/business development experience
* An interest in international education
* Outstanding administration and organisational skills
Desirable:
* Experience living/studying abroad
* Background or experience in recruitment, advising, learning development or/and business development.
Hours:
40 hours per week, full time, 9-5, with about 20% remote work, sometimes occurring out of regular hours. TOIL will be given for evening and weekend work.
Contract:
6-month contact. Work permit required.
