They pride themselves on quality, innovation, and collaboration, and are now scaling their design function in Cork to support upcoming growth.They are seekig a Design Coordinator to lead, coordinate, and manage all design activities for projects in the Cork region, ensuring design deliverables meet quality, cost, programme, and compliance objectives. You will act as the bridge between design, delivery, and client stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee design development from concept through to construction-ready stages, ensuring alignment with project requirements and client expectationsCoordinate multidisciplinary design teams (structural, mechanical & electrical, architectural, civil, etc.) to integrate design outputs seamlesslyReview design drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and project scopesMonitor design programme, maintain milestone schedules, flag delays or risks, proactively engage mitigation strategiesLead design coordination meetings with internal teams, consultants, and client representativesMaintain and manage design documentation, including drawing issue tracking, version control, and approvals logIdentify design risks and interface issues early, escalate and manage resolution through stakeholdersSupport tendering and bid phases by preparing design input, clarifications, and technical materialLiaise with the construction team to ensure design intent is maintained during delivery and advise on design changes as requiredContribute to continuous improvement of design workflows, quality assurance, and process best practicesMentor or support junior design coordinators or engineers, as neededQualifications & ExperienceDegree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent7+ years' relevant experience in design management/co-ordination on building or civil infrastructure projectsProven experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in a complex project environmentSolid technical understanding of structural, M&E, architectural, and civil design interfacesExperience in design reviews, compliance checks, and quality controlStrong competence with design software / tools and design documentation systems (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or similar)Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects concurrently, adapt priorities, and balance time pressuresSound understanding of relevant Irish/UK design standards, building regulations, and codesINDETH-M
