We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our busy office based in Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow. This is a full-time position suited to an experienced candidate who can manage key financial duties efficiently and independently. Applicants must be based within 40km of the office location.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts and compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage accounts payable and receivable
* Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with Irish Revenue requirements
* Carry out regular account reconciliations and accounts management
* Oversee and process weekly/monthly payroll
* Maintain accurate financial records using accounting systems and software
* Liaise with external accountants and internal departments as required
* Reporting to senior management monthly and the office manager weekly.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role
* Proficiency in DEXT and Revenue Online Service (ROS) is essential
* Strong knowledge of Irish accounting standards, payroll and VAT
* Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working Hours & Benefits:
* Full-time role: 5 days per week, 9:00am – 4:00pm
* Some flexibility in working hours may be considered for the right candidate, subject to agreement with management
* Salary starting from €27,000, depending on experience
