We are seeking a Transport Major Projects Manager for road, rail, public transport, and active travel schemes throughout Ireland. The candidate must be a Chartered Engineer with extensive experience in planning and designing major transport projects, including giving evidence at Oral Hearings for EIAR and CPO. The role involves joining our growing highways and transportation business, based in either Cork or Galway, with flexible hybrid working. The candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, responsible, team-leading, and possess excellent client management skills. Responsibilities include team building, mentoring, managing transport project planning and design, delivering EIAR and CPO, and handling construction contracts for public and private clients.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Extensive relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
2. Degree level education (Level 8/9).
3. Chartered Engineer.
4. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
5. Knowledge of relevant design standards and ability to produce practical, buildable, value-for-money designs.
6. Experience with design and build projects.
7. Experience in planning and designing Irish transport schemes, including feasibility studies, detailed design, statutory and procurement processes, contract administration, and construction supervision.
8. Full Irish/EU driving license.
