Cloud Engineer - Data Infra
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of data architecture components on the Azure cloud.
This is a key role in our organization, responsible for implementing and managing data infrastructure supporting complex analytical pipelines. You will work closely with our data science and product leaders to design best practices and standards for developing and delivering analytic pipelines while optimizing cloud resources for data processing.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Designing, configuring, and managing Data Engineering Infrastructure on the Azure Cloud for utilization by products built by our team.
* Ensuring security and data quality standards are established and enforced.
* Staying current with emerging trends in Cloud technologies and evaluating their impact on our products.
* Building infrastructure using code (IaC) and repeatable designs.
* Identifying opportunities for improvement, optimizing performance and scalability of existing Cloud solutions.
* Setting up, maintaining related documentation and standards and facilitating knowledge distribution across the Teams.
* Troubleshooting and debugging complex technical issues and providing timely resolution to technical challenges.
* Prioritizing and managing work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have:
* A Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* Strong software product development experience on a public cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Extensive hands-on experience developing Cloud solutions demonstrating a strong understanding of software engineering principles.
* Excellent knowledge of one or more Public Cloud Service offerings such as PaaS, FaaS, Workflow orchestrators, Service Principal, Containers, Secret management, etc.
* Experience of IaC using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, etc.
* Experience of hands-on utilization of SQL with large data volumes.
* Strong programming experience with two or more languages (e.g., Python, Java) and scripting for automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
* Understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
* Experience of real-time or batch data pipelines with an awareness of the importance of fault tolerance within the pipelines.
* Experience in using modern software engineering tooling (Jenkins, GHA, Sonar, Twist-Lock or alternatives, etc.) and process in terms of Agile delivery in a CI/CD work environment.

If you have experience with databases, data warehousing, and big data technologies (e.g., Databricks, Spark, DBT), cloud-hosted Data warehouses, and cloud-hosted analytical solutions, this would be beneficial but not required.
